Notes

*You can use Greek yoghurt instead of kefir.

^Frozen fruits will help keep your breakfast bowl cold and thick, but fresh fruits work as
well.

¹These are just some of the many options you might like to top your breakfast bowl with.

²LSA is a mix of ground sunflower, linseed and almonds.

About this recipe

Kefir is a fermented milk drink containing naturally occurring bacteria and yeasts. These
provide live cultures that may help support the diversity of your gut microbiota.

The prebiotic fibres found in oats and fruits in this smoothie bowl are indigestible to us but
act as fuel for our gut bacteria, helping them to thrive.

Combining fermented foods like kefir with prebiotic fibres is one way to nurture a healthy
and thriving gut environment which is linked to mood and brain health.
